In 1999, NASA lost a $125 million Mars orbiter because two teams meant different things by the same number. Lockheed Martin's software sent thruster data in imperial units. NASA's navigation software read it as metric. Both ran without errors. They just didn't agree.
Every company has its own version of this. A "customer" in the CRM isn't quite a "customer" in the ERP, and most of the rules were never written down. Now that AI acts on that data, those mismatches get a lot more expensive.
G*rtn*r named context layers a $69 billion opportunity in August 2026.
At Metagem, we're building the context layer for the AI era: agents that read an enterprise's documents and data, extract its definitions and rules, and surface where things conflict and what to fix first. That context powers every BI tool, assistant and agent the company runs.
We're looking for a Founding Delivery Lead to help define this category with us.
What will you do?
Your challenge. This is no role for the meek: you'll write the playbook for how Metagem delivers. Within six months, you turn signed customers into live deployments and a success story. Alongside the founders, you shape how the company runs and scales. You set the standard every hire after you will follow.
You will work across:
Founders' right hand
Work directly with the founders on priorities, planning and the projects that fall between the cracks.
Deployment
Get Metagem live in each customer's environment, from kickoff and access to connected sources and a first set of findings.
Customer success
Own the first six months with each customer: make sure they see real results, and that the business signs off on them.
Customer feedback
Collect what works and what doesn't, and turn it into clear input for the product team.
New product use cases
Spot the next problem worth solving at each customer, and shape it into a use case we can deliver.
Operations
Keep the day-to-day running and build the processes that let the business scale smoothly.
Who we are
Metagem is building the agentic context & quality layer for the European enterprise. We're an early-stage company, founded in 2025, with roots in academia and data consulting. Our customers are industrial groups with a lot of data complexity.
Being this early means you'll work directly with the founders across delivery, customer success and operations, and you'll shape how we deliver and run the company from your first week. It also means not everything is figured out yet, so you'll help decide how things get done.
And you'll grow with it. As we scale across Europe, you take the lead: growing into Head of Delivery or Operations, owning how the company runs, and building and leading the team that comes after you.
Who are we looking for?
We're looking for someone who has delivered before and wants to do it again, this time as a founder. You take ownership of the outcome, raise the bar for everyone around you, and don't wait to be asked.
Concretely:
- A proven track record delivering data management work, as a consultant or in a customer-facing role.
- A self-starter who executes: you turn ambiguity into a plan and the plan into results.
- At home with enterprise complexity: budget cycles, unclear objectives, and the politics that come with them.
- Credible with C-level executives as well as data teams; you earn trust in the room.
- A builder's mindset: you create the processes, templates and habits others will rely on.
- Clear communication in English and Dutch, written and spoken.
Nice to have:
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial groups.
- Familiarity with Microsoft, SAP or Databricks environments.
- Experience with SaaS implementations or customer onboarding.
- French or German (big plus).
The deal
- Real ownership of our customers' success from day one.
- A clear growth path as the company scales.
- Training budget (including certifications), and access to the latest tools.
- Competitive remuneration package (including ESOP) based on experience and performance.
- In-office gym membership.
Start date: Flexible. Location: Wintercircus, Ghent, Belgium. Hybrid, with 2–3 days a week in the office.
How we hire
- 01
A 30-minute introductory call.
- 02
A conversation about a data project you delivered, and what made it hard.
- 03
A short case based on a real customer situation, with written feedback whatever the outcome.
We especially encourage women and people from groups under-represented in tech to apply. Metagem is an equal opportunity employer.
